Roman Franc (1983, Brno, Czech Republic)

Born in 1983 in Brno, Czech Republic. Studied at Masaryk University in Brno, earning an M. A. in Education (2008). This was followed by an M. F. A. in Photography (2015) at the Institute of Art Photography, Silesian University, Opava (Czech Republic), where he continues toward a PhD (doctoral program). Franc has exhibited in the United States and United Kingdom. He worked on projects with the office of Czech President Václav Havel. Franc organizes and teaches photography courses and workshops for both private and public institutions, with an emphasis on inspirational environments and experiences. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Zillman Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro and the Library of Congress.
