About me

Roman Franc (1983, Brno, Czech Republic)

“A young photographer from Brno, a traditionalist with a character, dressed in a hat and dress shoes. A tiger whose whiskers are constantly pulled by this world, a runner and a restless romantic. A passionate poet conveying human stories whose images are framed by a square. Well, at least for now.”

Ondřej Žižka (friend and photographer, Brno, Czech republic)

He studied social science at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University, Brno and photography at the na Institute of Art Photography of Silesian University, Opava. He has since devoted himself to free photography and enjoys working, for example, with the Flexaret 6×6 medium-format camera. Roman Franc prefers taking photographs of people, creating their portraits. He organises and teaches photography courses and workshops for both private and public institutions with emphasis on inspirational environments and experiences. He has taken part in group and solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad: in the USA, Great Britain and Slovakia. His photographs are represented in Czech and international private collections. He collaborated with the office of former Czech President Vaclav Havel whose photographic portraits he created, as well as those of other international leading figures.
